Alpha Course at St Peter’s

WHAT IS ALPHA?

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions to discuss the Christian faith in an informal, fun and friendly environment. You can explore more about it here: alpha.org.uk

Each session follows the same really simple format! We eat a meal together, we watch a presentation and then we have some time for discussion in small groups.

WHO CAN DO ALPHA?

Alpha is for everyone; no question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. We don’t assume any background knowledge or belief in Christianity. You don’t have to come for the whole course, just come along for the first session and see what you think. No pressure, no follow up and no charge.

WHAT IS YOUTH ALPHA?

We are running a Youth Alpha course in addition to the adult course this year. Youth Alpha follows the same simple format, including food, but with adapted content for 11-16 year olds. More information and a ‘taster’ can be found here: https://alpha.org.uk/youth

WHEN IS ALPHA?

Alpha at St Peter’s starts on Thursday 18th April 2024 and runs for 8 sessions until Thursday 13th June (with a break on Thursday 9th May when St Peter’s hosts a special service for Ascension Day).

Adult Alpha Timings are from 18.30 until 20.30, with supper and refreshments included.

Youth Alpha will also run on Thursday evenings, but from 17.30-19.00, starting on 18th April and ending on 6th June.
